The discussion starts with Catherine telling the story of how she transitioned from working in corporate positions within the diamond, gold and jewelry industry to becoming an independent designer. Paul and Catherine then discuss jewelry marketing, distribution, pricing and the process of procuring of raw materials. Next, the conversation shifts to how to get celebrities to wear your jewelry, Catherine shares what inspires her creatively and the two discuss using man-made versus natural gem-stones. The conversation concludes with a Catherine providing some tips for young and aspiring jewelry designers.
